Fall Protection
& Fall Arrest: Inspection & Installation
At Spotlight Construction we provide expert fall protection and fall arrest system installation, inspection testing, and maintenance services across the UK.
Our mission is simple: to help businesses, property owners, and facilities managers protect their workforce while ensuring full compliance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005 (WAHR) and relevant BS EN safety standards.
Working at height presents significant risks across construction sites, industrial facilities, warehouses, commercial buildings, rooftops, and maintenance environments. Our experienced engineers deliver bespoke fall protection solutions designed to minimise risk, improve workplace safety, and maintain legal compliance.
Whether you require fall arrest system inspections, roof safety systems, anchor point testing, or complete fall protection system installations, Spotlight Construction provides reliable and fully compliant safety solutions tailored to your site requirements.
inspections
Routine Fall Protection inspections are vital to ensure your safety systems remain complaint, functional, and capable of protecting workers operating at height.
Our experienced, trained inspectors carry out detailed inspections and testing of:
Fixed and mobile anchor points
Horizontal and vertical line systems
Fall arrest harnesses and lanyards
Self-retracting lifelines (SRLs)
Guardrail and edge protection systems
Skylight covers and fragile surface protection
Access ladders and rooftop systems
DAVIT Arm Posts and System
Our inspection and testing services help identify wear, corrosion, damage, or non-compliant installations before they become serious safety risks.
INSPECTIONS SCHEDULE
In accordance with legal requirements and industry best practice, fall protection equipment and systems should be inspected:
At least every 12 months and 6 months for equipment used by abseil operatives.
Immediately after a fall or suspected damage
Following system modifications
After prolonged exposure to harsh weather or environments
All inspections include a report, photographs, compliance certification, and clear recommendations for remedial work (if required).
